Beaches for naturists on Elba Island
Enjoy the sea of Elba Island naturally!
Elba Island is the privileged destination for naturism lovers in Tuscany who can swim in clear waters and sunbathe without swimsuits in quiet and reserved places.
Lots of small coves, that can be often reached through long paths or only by water, are the best choice for people who search a corner of paradise where can sunbathe naked.
We are talking about beaches that are not typical nudist beaches but areas where the naturism is allowed. In particular during the high season periods it is possible to find bathers with their bathing costumes. If you find families with children it is necessary to use common sense and keep the swimsuit on.
The beaches for nudists are all without services so we suggest to you bring all necessary such as water, umbrella, snacks and use trekking shoes to follow different pathways and reach beaches far away from the main roads (remaining more hidden from the curious).
Here you are the nudist beaches of Elba Island
The most famous naturist beach on Elba Island is the Acquarilli beach, where nudism has been practiced since 70s.
The Acquarilli beach is the first and only naturist beach of Elba Island where naturism is allowed (it is authorized by a resolution n° 309 of 2015 issued from Capoliveri municipality).
The Acquarilli beach can be reached through a footpath in 15 minutes by walk and when you arrive there you can admire a seabed of small dark pebbles.
This beach is divided in 2 parts separated from a big cliff: the first part is mainly frequented by bathers who use their bathing costumes; the second part, instead, is more protected then the other one and it is possible practice naturism without being disturbed.
Le Tombe beach is a long beach of dark colour cobblestones situated in Marina di Campo that can be reached through a steep path in 20 minutes by walk.
You can find Le Tombe beach starting from Marina di Campo and following the main road towards the West Coast. Crossed Cavoli, Seccheto and Fetovaia you can find a small parking of 10 parking spaces where you can park your car and follow the last part of the path on foot.
This beach is very extensive and it is difficult to reach it, it is uncrowded and it is perfect for naturism.
Near Le Tombe beach there is another beach called Le Piscine, in Seccheto. It is a long cliff where it is possible sunbathe in relax and swim in our faboulous turquoise waters.
Then, in Capoliveri, there is another wide cliff between the 2 famous beaches called Barabarca and Zuccale that is frequented by naturism lovers. You can park your car using 2 equipped parking paying € 1,00 per hour, walk towards the Barabarca beach and take a diversion in the middle of the path that will allow you to reach the mentioned cliff.
Another particular cliff, where naturists are accepted, is situated between Lido beach and Felciaio beach. You can reach it parking at no free car-park in Felciaio and following the paths; or you can arrive at the Lido beach and cross the military bunker (situated on the right side of the beach) that will allow you to reach the nearby rocks where you can follow other small pathways and reach the cliff.
In Capo di Stella zone, in Lacona, there is a small black pebbles beach called Canata beach or Capo Canata beach that is frequented for lots of years from nudists. It is necessary to cross the Stella Mare Camping and follow a path and a long staircase by walk to go there.
If you arrive at these mentioned beaches and there are people with their swimsuits or children, it is necessary to use common sense and keep bathing costumes on.
We remind you that only on Acquarilli beach is authorized practice naturism by a resolution of Capoliveri municipality, the other beaches are not legally recognized.
